MALE PATTERN BALDNESS

The basic reasons for the baldness:
1)Age - usually starts after puberty
2) Genetic predisposition family history
The basic culprit in the process of balding is male hormones androgen. Androgen inhibits follicles on specific area of the scalp in genetically susceptible individual causing ( reverse transformation of thick hair ( terminal ) to thin / fine ( vellus ) ones leading to androgenic alopecia – m baldness.

In females such type of hair loss is characterized as diffuse hair loss initially. It after is seen as widening of central parting.
